South Hills Cooperative Animal Control (SHCAC)
provides animal control services
for the Township.

During normal Township business hours (8:30am-4pm), please call 412-341-9597 for animal control services.

Outside of normal Township business hours, please use the Allegheny County Dispatch non-emergency line (412-279-6911) and ask for Animal Control to report animals running at large, to enforce nuisance animal regulations, and to report injured or killed animals.

Lost your pet? You can call the SHCAC to check their kennels.

Animal control has one new guest in house to advise of; he was recovered from McNeilly Road near Ely Street by a passer-by and taken to Met Vet where he was checked for an ID chip, none found.

He is a very powerful pooch and could be from Baldwin Township, Castle Shannon, Dormont, or Overbrook. This sweetheart loves everybody. He's tan with white, and no collar or tags were found with him. He can do some tricks when not dragging an ACO around the parking lot.

We ask anyone having any knowledge of our furball or his owner to please contact animal control through Allegheny County Dispatch on the non-emergency number: (412) 279-6911 -- request animal control.
